International Crew trainig certification IYT
The International Crew training is designed for those who want to obtain certification as an active crew member, participate in deck operations, and work with sails.
Most charter companies in Greece for all yachts, and charter companies in other countries for catamarans, require a second experienced and certified crew member on board in addition to the captain.
Requirements
The candidate must be at least 14 years old.
Previous sea experience is not required.
5 to 6 days, 40 hours of theory and practical training

How long does it take and what do you get?
In just 5-6 days, you can obtain your International Crew certification IYT.
Scope of the International Crew training:
• Rope work, sail handling, and basic boat handling under power
• Safety briefing and man overboard procedures
• Nautical terminology, vessel equipment, and instruments
40 hours of theory and practical training (theory and practice on board), but this time frame may reduced for those who have recognized prior learning or boating/sea time experience.
